Over 8000 children and their parents participated in the Great Parade and Fair in Stamford Hill, London on Lag BaOmer.

Clowns entertained the children and showed them to their seats. Shloimy Gertner started off the morning with a lively rendition of And Mamamin.

Rabbi Sholom Ber Sudak, organizer of the parade opened the Parade and introduced Rabbi Mendel Gordon, the MC of the event.

He introduced the team of acrobats by explaining that everything in the world was created to serve Hashem. The 12 Pesukim were recited by children of Lubavitch nursery, Gan Menachem, Lubavitch Girls and Lubavitch Boys school.

The Rebbe’s voice was heard in the streets of London as a Sichah was shown on a large 20 m2 screen. Mendel Sudak and Yakov Raskin had invested many hours in making this happen.

The marching band, led by Nosson Negin led the parade from Lubavitch House to the Fair in the park on the main road which had been closed for the duration of the parade.

The Fair lasted from 12:00 - 6:00 at which time the heavens opened and rain poured down. The Fair was the largest Jewish children Fair ever seen in the area, and has been the talk of the town.

During the parade, a mobile app for bus routes and travel times posted a status alert for route 253: "Adults and children take part in Lag Bo'omer street parade. Delays and short holds may occur as the march passes."

Absolutely beautiful parade!!!!
London pulled it off FANTASTIC. It really was THE GREAT PARADE.

From the music to the brilliant sunshine (thank you Hashem!!! - you know us English and our weather!!!) , from the cute children waving their flags to the many many spectators and then the wonderful funfair on the iconic Clapton Common!!!:)) Well done to the organisers.

A MUST MENTION is for the AMAZING float that the Yeshiva made of Yemos Hamoshiach - a great shame there is no picture as they must have worked so hard - it was fantastic - GREAT JOB BOYS!!!! and continue to use your creative talent for such projects.

Also to mention the last picture features the float made by the JewK boys for a previous parade - well done to all of you too.

Just one observation and suggestion I would like to make - would it not be an idea for the high school girls to produce a float for a future parade. I am sure they have much talent and it would be fun, exciting and beneficial for them to get into the spirit of the day.

May next years parade be through the streets of Yerusholayim with Moshiach.
