Shluchim Hold Lag BaOmer at Zoo

Kharkov Shluchim were initially expecting bad weather when they were about to launch the Lag BaOmer Parade at the local zoo.

Despite the weather forecast of rain, hundreds of men, women, and children joined the Grand Lag Baomer Parade in the Ecopark Feldman Zoo in Kharkov, Ukraine.

Miraculously, the skies were clear as the parade began marching down the main highway.

The kindergarten, Kollel, Cheder Chabad, Or Avner Day School, Machon, Yeshiva Ketana, and the "Star Students Club led the parade, which began on the main highway leading into the zoo.

The Cheder and Yeshiva Ktana under the direction of Rabbi Levi Raices led the parade as the marching band. They were truly the stars of the show as the hundreds of people in the parade were amazed at how the boys played their drums.

Head Shliach Rabbi Moshe Moskovitz welcomed the crowd, emphasizing the Rebbe's message of unity and pride. Senator Alexander Feldman, head of the United Jewish Community of Kharkov welcomed the crowds young and old.

After the reciting of the 12 Pesukim, the school choir performed to the delight of the crowd.

The parade went through the park and forest, the bonfire was lit and the festivities began. A horse show, jumping castles and bow and arrow practice kept the crowd entertained throughout the day.
